Add a two-car garage and suggest a new exterior appearance (from a picture of new houses in the Drummond Designs collection) that would eliminate the lenghty effect of the facade. Raise the roof and replace the exterior sheathing, if need be.

The two-car garage is added to the left side, even to the facade and includes the existing access to the basement. The addition of new gables to the existing roof breaks the linear aspect of the house. The addition of a turret suits the overhang perfectly and the use of an acrylic coating ensures a distinctive result.
